Bent Hamer became known internationally for his critically acclaimed film "Kitchen Stories".
His follow up to "Kitchen Stories" is an adaptation of "Factotum", a novel written by Charles Bukowski.
Matt Dillon plays Henry Chinaski, Bukowski's alter ego. Other stunning performances in the film include Fischer Stevens, Lili Taylor and Marissa Tomeii.
I hung out with Bent at the 49th San Francisco International Film Festival while "Factotum" screened for the festival audience.
