Paul Rackman and Steve Blush
hosted by Tony DuShane

Steve Blush wrote the book "American Hardcore" documenting the early Hardcore scene of the 80's.

Paul Rackman has directed over 100 music videos and has been in the punk scene since the early 80's just like Blush. Paul and Steve put the documentary together without studio backing and when Sony Pictures Classics purchased the distribution rights of the film at Sundance, they didn't touch a frame of the film that was ultimately released in theatres this year.

Will there ever be another moment in time like punk rock during the Reagan years? Will the complacent youth of today rise up and scare the shit out of their parents and shake up society?

"American Hardcore" is not only a record of an era gone by, it's a call for all to question your life and choose well.

It's better to let the writer and director speak for themselves.

Enjoy the show.
