Slim Cessna Slim Cessna's Auto Club was probably the best show I saw in 2006. They make Americana-gothic music sound more like a Pentecostal punk rock hoe-down. Cessna shares front-man duties with Munly (of Munly & the Lee Lewis Harlots) and they both write songs and sing for the band. They look like a hillbilly gang you wish you could join but who would probably kick your butt sideways and hog-tie you at a cookout. They're from Denver and have been linked with the Denver sound, which seems like country, but it's not...yeah, no one's too sure how to describe the Denver sound but when you hear it you'll know it. If they come to your city....Do. Not. Miss. This. Band. Sometimes I say on the radio, oh these guys or girls are great, and I'll half mean it because they're in the studio with me....not SCAC. Go see them. Now. Fly to Denver, bang on their door and make them play for you. Segment 1 (Refer to the Drinks with Tony interview with Munly.) If you can't stream the above segments, right mouse click on the links, save them to your hard drive and then play them from there.
