Nicholas Meyer is the author of The Adventure of the Peculiar Protocols. His previous books include The View From the Bridge: Memories of Star Trek and a Life in Hollywood, The Seven-Per-Cent Solution, and Confessions of a Homing Pigeon.

He wrote and directed many films including Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and Time After Time.

Nicholas directed the 1983 TV Movie The Day After. More than 100 million people watched the initial broadcast and it set the record as the highest-rated TV film in history. And, it may have literally saved us from getting nuked.
